Stephen "Steve" Rice

Stephen D. “Steve” Rice, 65, of Warsaw went home to be with the Lord after battling cancer, Monday, March 15, 2021. Steve was born December 27, 1955 in Goshen to Duane and Joann (Inman) Rice. On June 6, 1981, he married Dorothy “Jenny” Steele; she survives.

After graduating from Goshen High School, Steve honorably served his country in both the United States Navy and later the United States Air Force. You always knew where you stood with Steve. He was a straight shooter and told you the way it was and had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories as well. Steve enjoyed music, especially classis rock, traveling with family and was a collector of lighters among other treasures. He loved his dogs and his Cadillac. The most important things in his life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. The void left by Steve’s passing will be hard to fill.

Steve is survived by his wife Jenny, three children, Wayne (Angie) Miller of Leesburg, Aimee (Josh) Mueller of Texas, Jaime (Brad) Neer of Warsaw; eight grandchildren, Sky, Alexia, Katie, Zakk, Matt, Janis, Ethan Lacy and one great grandchild, Zayden. Also surviving are three siblings, Connie Rice of Michigan, Tim (Deb) Rice of Milford and Laura )Bill) Bushong of Ohio.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place.
