Shelley Joan Coy

Shelley Joan Coy, age 60, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at home. She was born on February 13, 1963 the daughter of Ronald and Carole (Thompson) Traver in South Bend, Indiana. She married Stewart Coy in1981; he preceded her in death on February 21, 1994.

She is survived by two sons, Nathan (Heather) Coy of Leesburg and Tyler (Kristen) Coy of Warsaw; four grandchildren, Connor, Lexi, Bailee, and Alek; Mother, Carole (James E.) Moore of Goshen; two sisters, Ronda Traver of Milford and Darla (Bruce) Routson of Cromwell; along a nephew, Jordan and niece, Gabi.

Shelley graduated from Wawasee High School in 1981 and worked as a CNA at Lakeland in Milford before staying home full time with her sons. She was a very talented artist and loved to draw, winning many contest in school. Shelley was an avid reader and loved animals, specially her cat, Ariel.

In keeping with her wishes, no public visitation or services are planned. Cremation will take place with Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
