Sharleen Ann Miller

Sharleen Ann Miller, age 69, died peacefully while surrounded by family on August 26, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.

Sharleen was born on November 16, 1951, in Elkhart, IN to Marjorie (Baumgartner) and Harold Kaiser.   She graduated from Wawasee High School, class of 1970 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Valparaiso University in 1974.  After college she moved back to Milford, Indiana where she met and married Steve P. Miller, also of Milford.  She was an Allstate Insurance Agent for 20+ years and an active member of the community that never met a stranger. Sharleen was known for her outgoing personality, love of karaoke, and dancing.  When Sharleen retired in 2015, she and her significant other, Dennis Carroll, spent their time raising their great-grandchild, Wyatt Michael Miller, whom they greatly loved.  One of Shar and Denny’s greatest joys was hosting family and friends, be it a traditional holiday get together or impromptu backyard gathering.

Sharleen is proceeded in death by her husband, Steven P. Miller, brother Dennis Kaiser, and parents Marjorie (Baumgartner) and Harold Kaiser.

Sharleen was well loved by the community. She leaves behind her siblings, Shelley (Kaiser) Tracy, Douglas Kaiser; 5 children: Jason (Wendy) Miller, Jacob Miller, Elizabeth (Benson) Green, Jarrod Miller, and Jessica Miller; 13 grandchildren: Kane, Gage, Andrew, Matthew, Elliot, Kylie, Deon, Hunter, Whitney, Hannah, Ieuan, James, and Alexandra; and two great-grandchildren Wyatt and Hendrix.

Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 West 900 North in Milford. Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the funeral home. Internment will be private.

Donations can be made to Wyatt Miller’s educational fund or the Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, Inc.  Checks for Wyatt’s fund can be made out to Wyatt Miller and sent in care of the Mishler Funeral Home.
