Peggy Metzler

Peggy Metzler, 90, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2023, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen. Peggy was born August 15, 1933, in Roaring Spring, PA to Elsie and John Mock. She married Harold Metzler on June 8,1952.

Peggy was a remarkable woman.  Not only was she a talented musician with a beautiful voice and an accomplished pianist but she was an artist and decorator as well, helping her husband in their Ace Hardware business in Martinsburg, Pa. Her cooking, gardening and award winning baking were extremely popular not only with family, but among friends, guests, and the community. However, her greatest talent was being a mom.

Peggy is survived by four children, Randy (Jeanette) Metzler of Missouri, Jeffrey Metzler of Bristol, Julie (John) Bachman of Goshen and Jamie (Christy) Metzler of Maryland; four grandchildren,.15 great grandchildren and a fur grandbaby, Findley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:30 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren in Martinsburg, Pa.
