Maria "Andy" Ybanez

Maria “Andy" Ybanez, 80, of New Paris passed away July 24, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on February 4, 1939 in Poteet, TX to Cecil and Magdalena (Ybarra) Gonzales.

Maria lived in the Milford area for several years and was a loving child care provider to many area children. She was also a caregiver to her parents before their passing. Maria enjoyed reading, gardening, collecting things, watching soap opera’s, especially Novellas Mexican Soaps, and loved Elvis Presley. She was a caring, compassionate person who touched the lives of many people. Her gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Maria is survived by two brothers, Ray Gonzales of Goshen and Cecil (Sandy) Gonzales of New Paris, two sisters, Janie Gonzales of New Paris and Minnie (Larry) Kauffman of Goshen. Also surviving is her mamacita Jasmin Castro and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Cripe and Lupita Gonzales.

A celebration of Maria's life will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Milford.  Burial will be at a later date at Milford Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
