Kathryn A. Beer

Kathryn A. Beer, 91, of Wakarusa, formerly of Milford, passed away July 21, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor in Wakarusa.  She was born on October 15, 1926 in Medary ville , IN to Ida and Philemon Ge tz.  She married Eldon G. Beer on March 9, 1947 in Remington, Indiana. He passed away on June 9, 2003. Kathryn worked for Avon an d was known as “Milford’s Avon E vangelist” and was big in Child Evangelism.  She drove to South Bend once a week to work on the prayer line for Lesea Ministries, and was a prayer warrior for World Missionary Press. She was a member of Living Gospel Church of Nappanee.

She is survived by sons, Kent Beer of Warsaw, Tom (Brenda) Beer of Elkhart and Jan (Michelle) Beer of Goshen; daughter, Tammy (Ron) Graber of Syracuse; grandchildren, Staci (Jeff) DeBolt , Austin Beer, Matthew Beer, Tiffany Beer and Kaitlin Graber; great-grandchild Eldon DeBolt ; brothers, Ronald (Jean) Getz and Eldon Ray (Charlene) Getz all of Remington; sisters, Lucille Steffen of Rensselaer and Marilyn (Elmer) Bahler of Wolcottville.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Getz.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Ce nter.  The service will be on Wednesday at 10 am at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service.  Pastors Mike Raasch and Dave Soliday of Living Gospel Church of Nappanee will officiate. Burial will take place at Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or World Missionary Press.
