James Christopher Heckaman

James Christopher “Red” Heckaman, 49, of Milford, passed from this life suddenly on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Chris was born in Goshen, May 6, 1971 to James H.E. Heckaman and Judy Sims.

Chris lived most of his life in the Milford area and attended Milford Elementary and Wawasee High School. He really enjoyed listening to Rock Music and working in his mother’s yard. He was a quiet, kind hearted person, always willing to help anyone he could. He loved his family and his Golden Retrievers. The family would like his friends to know that if they would like, they can stop by and place flowers, balloons or other memorabilia on or around his truck.

Chris is survived by his mother, Judy Sims of Milford and a brother John H.E. Heckaman of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his father in 2011.

Cremation will take place with burial at a later date.
