Harry D Doty

Harry D. “Towhead” Doty, 91, of Milford, passed away on July 28, 2018 at Lakeland Rehab Center in Milford.  He was born on April 18, 1927 to Harry A. and Nina Doty.  He married Kathryn E. Yoder on March 5, 1949 at Milford Bethel Church of the Brethren.  Harry was a lifelong resident of Milford.  He served in the U.S. Army Artillery during WWII. Harry worked as a contractor for Doty Construction.  He was a building inspector for the town of Milford and worked on the Millford Fire Department for over 30 years. Harry was a member of Wawasee Community Bible Church, lifetime member of the Milford American Legion and was on the advisory board for the township trustee.  Harry also drove bus for Wawasee Community School Corporation.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Doty of Milford; a son, Kent (Christy) Doty of Milford; daughters, Peg (John) Leighty of Fishers, Janny Rice of Milford; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by sisters, Donna Fisher, Annabelle Replogle and Maryann Dowty.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Wawaseee Community Bible Church, 2035 E. 1300 N. Milford, IN.  Services will be held on Thursday at 10 am at the church.  Pastor Tom Speicher will officiate.  A private graveside service will be held Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wawasee Community Bible Church.
