Gary Lee Parker

Gary Lee Parker, 62, of Syracuse passed away February 13, 2019 at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. Gary was born May 1, 1956 in Russiaville, IN to Robert and Edna (Kleeman) Parker.

Gary graduated from Garrett High School in 1974 and enlisted in the United States Air Force stationed in North Dakota as an aircraft mechanic. Gary was employed at Zimmer where worked for 28 years as a machinist. He was an avid mechanic and especially enjoyed working on Mopar vehicles. He enjoyed being outside, riding his Harley Davidson and making sausage. Gary was a compassionate person and would help just about anybody. He loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them when he could.

Gary is survived by two sisters, Karen Blackwell of North Carolina, Julie (Larry) Faulkner of Garrett. Also surviving two nephews Michael Landers of Florida, Paul Faulkner of Garrett, two nieces Natashia Landers and Alexis Blackwell both of North Carolina.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry White and Ron Trusty.

According to Gary’s wishes, cremation will take place. No services are planned at this time.

Memorial donations in Gary’s honor may be directed to Wounded Warriors or Riley’s Children’s Hospital.
