Emil E. Emmons, Jr., 90, of Milford passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Paddock Springs Assisted Living in Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on July 2, 1932 in French Lick, Indiana to Emil E., Sr. and Clara (Lewis) Emmons. He was married to Kathryn Rensberger, she passed on May 8, 2000.
Emil worked as a machinist at Goshen Rubber for 32 years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and every spring he could be found in the woods hunting mushrooms. Emil also enjoyed the simple work of cutting wood, which he would use for his frequent camping trips and wood working projects.
Emil is survived by his children, Larry (Linda) Krauter of Murphy, NC, Darla Brown of North Webster, Debra (James) Robinson of Elkhart, and Teresa Bollman of Milford; nine grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, William (Ruth) Emmons and Estel (Thelma) Emmons both of French Lick; and a sister, Wanda (Terry) Buffington of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn; a son, Roger Emmons; a brother, Buddy Emmons; and a sister, Audrey Anderson.
A funeral service will be held in Emil’s honor at 1 PM on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W 900 N, Milford, Indiana. Mr. Kenyan Coleman will officiate with burial following at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, Indiana.
Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
