Edward "Leon" Young

Edward “Leon” Young, age 85, of Milford, Indiana passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 12:55 pm. He was born on September 7, 1937 the son of George Dedrick and Ona (Lynn) Young and in Rutledge, Tennessee.

He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Young of Springfield, Illinois and Dawn (Kirk) Stichter of Milford, Indiana; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, James Dedrick Young of Tennessee; and three sisters, Melinda Bates of Tennessee, Rosella Bowling of Kentucky, and Mary Dunsmore of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers.

Leon served his country honorably in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.  He worked as carpenter for many years and enjoyed golfing and hunting.

Cremation will take place with Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center. A private family service will be held in Rutledge, Tennessee.
