David "Moe" Wright

David “Moe” Wright, age 82, of Milford, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at home as the result of natural causes. He was born on April 8, 1942, the son of Ulysses and Eunice (Woods) Wright in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. On March 19, 1966, he married Luz Soto Torres in Aguada, Puerto Rico.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 60 years, Luz Wright of Milford; a daughter, Logina A. (Jeff Sorensen) Vuittonet of Milford; three grandchildren, Austin (Hannah Brown) Vuittonet of Milford, Tonya (Kevin) Klinger of Ohio, and Tae (Corey) Bell of Florida; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Danny Wright, Milford, Sybil (Curt) Bradley, Florida, and Sylvia Wilson, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John “BJ” Wright; a grandson, Tony Vuittonet; and siblings, Wilma “Faye” Bradley, Ell “Doug” Wright, Jim Wright, Virginia Garza, Kenneth “Blackie” Wright, Robert Wright, and Rosemary Morgan.

Moe graduated from High School in Kentucky and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. He was a carpenter and worked for Commodore Homes and Gulf Stream for many years. Moe was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 1342, both in Syracuse. He was very well known for restoring classic cars and eagerly devoted his time to doing so. Moe also enjoyed going for bike rides to get a cold beverage. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends will be received from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 461 W 900 N, Milford, IN 46542.

A graveside service will be held for Moe at 10 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Milford Cemetery. Pastor Steve Wilson will officiate.
