Bruce D. Mcclintic

Bruce D. McClintic, 92, of Milford passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Milford. He was born January 5, 1926 to Eston and Blanche McClintic in Syracuse. He married Eva J. Wineland on April 26, 1947; she passed on January 1, 2015.

Bruce was a beloved member of the Milford community for many years. For 20 years, he worked as a crane operator at Sturm & Dillard Gravel Company. He also worked as a mechanic for Phend & Brown and later, C.S. Myers Ford.

Bruce was truly patriotic and loved his country deeply. Early on, he honorably served in the US Navy during WWII as a Seaman, 1 ^st class. He also served as a Post Commander for the American Legion in Milford for many years and was a member of the VFW, DAV, and the 40 ^th & 8 ^th .  Later, he had the opportunity to join his comrades on the Honor Flight to Wahsington DC.

Bruce was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Joellen Free of Milford; a son, Jerry (Barb) McClintic of Milford; a step son, Jack (Christine) Stump of Milford; two granddaughters, Jennifer Garcia of Milford, Suellen Kipp of Ft Myers, FL; four grandsons, John (Nicole) Free of Price, UT, Doug Free of Las Vegas, NV, Chad (Kim) McClintic of North Webster, Josh (Abby) McClintic of North Webster; six great grandsons, Bruno, Adam, Abraham, Landon, Weston, and Chase; three great granddaughters, Madison, Alyssa, and Madelyn.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Eva McClintic; four brothers, Jim McClintic, Charles McClintic, John McClintic, and Harry McClintic; and a sister, Elizabeth Bassett.

A funeral service in honor of Bruce will be held at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milford on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 AM with military honors. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received from 9-11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
