Baltazar "Frank" Perales Jr.

Baltazar “Frank" Perales Jr., age 80, of Milford, Indiana passed away Thursday evening April 18, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 4, 1943, the son of Baltazar Sr. and Catarina (Garcia) Perales in San Antonio, Texas. On December 30, 1963, he married Minerva Antu.

Frank is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Minerva Antu Perales of Milford; five children, Mary Rose (Marshall) Boyer Jr. of Milford, Celia “Sally” (Christopher) Riggs of Milford, Elizabeth (Matthew) Goss of North Webster, Frank Antu Perales of Milford, and Robert (Angelica) Perales of Leesburg; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Adam Perales, Armondo Perales, Gilbert Perales, and Juan (Mareya) Perales all of San Antonio Texas, Juanita Perales of El Paso, Texas, Alejandra Perales of Milford, and Carmen Perales of Elkhart; along with several nieces and nephews.

Frank had an unmatched and incredible life long work ethic. Starting as a very young boy, and then working full time until the age of 80, when he retired from Smokercraft after 55 years. He lived an incredibly full and fruitful life. Frank was very devoted to his family and was also very involved in the Latino community for many many years. He was a man of various talents, an extremely talented musician, and played in a band for over 60 years. Frank was also a broadcaster on WRSW FM 107.3 for over 35 years and was very well known in the Latino community regionally. He was a musician or master of ceremonies for countless events over the years. To his children, Frank was superman, and to everyone else Frank was the living definition of a gentleman, full of integrity, honor, and valor.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 3pm on Saturday April 27, 2024 at  Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 461 W 900 N, Milford, IN 46542.

Family and friends will be received from 5-8 pm on Friday April 26, 2024  and from 1-3 pm prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
