Betty J. Taylor

Betty Jane Taylor, 92, formerly of Milford, went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2018 at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, Illinois. Betty was born to Warren Henry Moore and Lulu Moore on February 6, 1925 in Trenton, Missouri. She was married to Bill Williams; he passed on December 27, 1963. She later married Burton W. Taylor on June 28, 1964; he passed in 1993.

Betty honorably served her country in the Women’s Army Corps during WWII. She remained a true patriot all her life; no matter where she moved she always had a flag pole in the front yard. Betty was a hardworking beautician for 30 years and enjoyed sewing in her free time. She was a good mother and had an unshakable bond with her children. Betty was a member of the Milford Christian Church in Milford, Indiana.

Betty is survived by a daughter, Arlene (James) Lea of Villa Park, IL; two step daughters, Constance Bailey of Detroit, MI and Donnelda (Billie) Dill of Banghor, MI; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Lucinda Gail Artzer and Kathryn Williams and a step son, Ronald Burton Taylor.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Milford Christian Church in Milford. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Milford.

Friends and family will be received from 3-9 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milford and on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
