Roberta J. Mcdonald

Roberta J. McDonald, age 79, of New Paris, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Center For Hospice Care in Elkhart, IN at 2:24 PM. She was born on April 13, 1938 the daughter Cornelius and Lois (Christophel) Reuter in Mishawaka, IN. On November 19, 1960 she married Carl McDonald; he preceded her in death on June 3, 2005.

Roberta was survived by her siblings, Dorothy Kistler of New Paris, IN, Herbert (Patricia) Reuter of Milford, IN, and Joann (Robin) Boyer of Lake Tippecanoe; nieces and nephews, Valerie (Robert) Haywood of Milford, IN, Kimberly Reuter of Chicago, IL, Michael Reuter of Carmel, IN, and Marie Pennington of Elkhart, IN. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Roberta graduated from New Paris High School in 1956 and was a life long employee of Johnson Controls (Formerly Penn Controls) in Goshen, IN. She retired after 44 years of faithful service. Roberta enjoyed caring for many dogs over the years, most recently her best dog friend, Cricket. In her early years she enjoyed bowling, and in her golden years, volunteering at Goshen Hospital as a pink coat, and cheering on the Cubs.

A funeral service will be held in Roberta's honor on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11 AM at Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Milford, IN. Pastor Nelda Risden of Bethany Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of the 11 AM service at the funeral home.
