Kimberly Ruth Conrad

Kimberly Ruth Conrad, 61, of Syracuse, IN, passed away unexpectedly, together with her son, Stephen Thurlow Conrad II, on December 25, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born on January 22, 1955 in Joliet, IL, to Kenneth and Ruth Webster. On June 11, 1977, she married Steve Conrad in Chicago, IL. Kim earned her Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts from Ball State University. She was a Delta Zeta Sorority Member at Eastern Illinois University, where she was also a cheerleader and gymnast. Kim taught as a well-loved kindergarten teacher at Syracuse Elementary for many years, until her retirement. Most recently, she was working as a real estate broker. Kim enjoyed cheerleading and gymnastics and would often serve as a coach or judge. She also enjoyed waterskiing. Kim will be missed by her husband, Steve Conrad; sons, Michael (Katie) Conrad, Jeffery Conrad; granddaughter, Kendall Conrad; mother, Ruth Webster; father, Kenneth Webster (Daret Matthews); brother, Doug Webster; niece, Sara Webster; sisters-in-law, Connie (Jack) Spitler and Stacy (Jeff) Troxel; and 15 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Francis Conrad and Dorlas Kline; and grandparents, William and Ruth Olsen and Dallas and Francis Webster. A celebration of Kim's life will be at 6 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2016, at Wawasee High School gymnasium in Syracuse. Pastor Tom Speicher will officiate. A private family burial will take place. Friends and family will be received from 1-5 PM on Wednesday at Wawasee High School. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Kimberly and Stephen Conrad II Scholarship Fund, c/o Lake City Bank 502 S Huntington St. Syracuse, IN 46567. Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
