Margaret B. Ostendorf

Margaret B. Ostendorf, 101, of Milford passed away August 8, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living, Warsaw, IN. She was born July 2, 1914 in Prairie County, Arkansas to Emory Wright and Theresa Evaline (Lewis) Bedell. Margaret married Joe H. Ostendorf, Jr. on August 13,1 939.He preceded her in death in 1997.
Mrs. Ostendorf was a high school graduate and went on to receive her degree from Arkansas Polytechnic College. In 1961, she moved to Milford from Lafayette, Indiana and made her home. She was an Elementary School Teacher and Margaret worked with her husband in the Diagnostic Lab in Milford. She was a member of the Warsaw Church of Christ, Warsaw Bonsai Club, the American Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary, and volunteered as a Red Cross Grey Lady.
Margaret is survived by a son, Joe Michael (Hazel) Ostendorf of Warsaw; a daughter, Natalie (Stanley) Stump of Milford; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters and three brothers
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 2-4 PM at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 West 900N, Milford, Indiana 46542. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
