Howard E. O'Connor

Howard E. O'Connor, 81, of Bremen, passed away at 10:46 am, Monday, June 15, 2015 in Porter Regional Medical Center, Valparaiso. Howard was born on October 13, 1933 in North Liberty, IN, the son of the late Faye and Lilly (Reed) O'Connor. On June 20, 1959, he married Betty Hill. She passed away on December 23, 2012. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle, two sisters and five brothers. Howard is survived by six children; Tim (Marilyn) O'Connor of Bourbon, Joyce (Mike) Daly of Cincinnati, OH, David O'Connor of Bremen, Ernest (Karen) O'Connor of Plymouth, Peggy Gibbons of Elkhart, and Kelly (Steven) Roeseler of Oak Harbor, WA, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, John (Judy) O'Connor of South Bend and Merlin (Donna) O'Connor of South Carolina. He enjoyed his family. He also enjoyed his extended church family and breakfast with his buddies. Howard was a member of the Bremen Missionary Church and will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Monday, June22, 2015 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
