Haskel Alvin Hickey, 79, of Bremen, passed away at 7:07 am, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in his home surrounded by family. Haskel was born on November 18, 1935 in White Pine, TN, the son of the late Paul and Estella "Pearl" (Turner) Hickey. On January 16, 1957, he married Irene Whitt. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene; three children, Michael (Cindy) Hickey of Bremen, Doris (Rex) Dumph of Bremen and Janet (Wayne) Parish of Nappanee; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Lockie (Cleason) Owens of Rutledge, TN, Linda (Charles) Cartwright of Plymouth and Debbie (Scott) Long of Morristown, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Jerry Allen Hickey, grandchild, Andrew Hickey, three brothers and two sisters. Haskel proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before his honorable discharge in 1956. He attended Bremen Missionary Church and loved the Lord. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, April 24, 2015 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the funeral home with Pastor Gary Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
