Ruth Sholtey

Ruth Sholtey, age 96, of Milford, IN passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 10:10 AM at IU Health in Goshen, Indiana. She was born on April 4, 1919 to Frank and Elizabeth (Booze) Hoover in Kosciusko County, Indiana. On January 21, 1941, Ruth married Vernon Sholtey. He preceded her in death.

Ruth worked as a homemaker raising her children and taking care of her family. She attended Clearview Church.

Surviving are her children: Wayne (Marcia) Sholtey, Jim Sr. (Martha) Sholtey, Ruth Faye (Russ) Ivison, and Sally Thomas; six grandchildren: Mary, Jim Jr., Loretta, Lydia Sholtey, David (Shawna) Ivison, Hannah Ivison; and four great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren: Deborah Ivison and Rebecca Sholtey; two sisters: Esther (Cloyd) Rusk and Edna (Paul) Meyer; and one brother: Walter (Alice) Hoover.

A funeral service will be held in Mrs. Sholtey's honor on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10 AM at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 West 900N, Milford, IN 46542 with Rev. Hubert Schmucker officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery, Milford, IN.

There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 2-5 & 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
