Joe Wayne Allmon

Joe Wayne Allmon, 81, of Bremen passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at home. He was born on September 13, 1933 to Ira and Beaula (Wilson) Allmon in Aurora, Missouri. Joe graduated from high school and went on to honorably serve his country in the US Army. On April 19, 1958, he married Ardeth C. Gross; she passed away on December 23, 2000. Joe retired from Hobart Corp. in 1985. He was a member of the Lion's Club of Aurora and the Bremen VFW. Joe was a diehard Notre Dame Football fan; he also enjoyed the outdoors and working in the yard. Joe cherished his family, and loved to spend time with them.

Joe is survived by three children, Pamela (Jim) Ernsberger of Bremen, Alison (Mark) Fink of South Bend, and Glen (Patty) Allmon of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Quenton Ernsberger, Grayson Ernsberger, and Miranda Allmon; and a brother, Dennis (Sue) Allmon of Aurora, MO.

To respect his wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Joe's life will be held at a later date. The family asks that any donations in his name be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, Harbor Light Hospice or the Bremen VFW.
