Marjorie C. Roeder, 91, of Bremen passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa. She was born on April 4, 1923 in Bremen to Charles R. and Ruby D. (Kimble) Guard. Marjorie married Lloyd D. Roeder in 1941; he passed away in 1989. In addition to raising her family, Marjorie worked for SKF Bearing in Bremen for 29 years. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Bremen.
Marjorie is survived by a son, Craig L. (Ann) Roeder of Mishawaka; a daughter, Kay (Keith) Bailey of Bristol; five grandchildren, Tami (John) Douglas, Steve (Annabell) Roeder, Todd (Rosalie) Roeder, Jason (Nicole) Bailey, and Amanda (Brian) Jamison; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Phyllis (Ken) Walters of Nappanee; and two brothers, Dean (Sally) Guard of Nappanee and Robert (Pat) Guard of Tavares, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Aletha and Lucille; and two brothers, Wayne and Paul.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10 am at the First
United Church of Christ in Bremen. Pastor Thomas Dean will officiate with burial following at the Bremen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
Memorials may be given to the First United Church of Christ or the Alzheimer's Association.
