Sandra Kay Allen

August 1, 1943 — January 10, 2015

Sandra Kay Allen, 71, of Morris, Illinois, formally of Bremen, Indiana, and Yellow Creek Lake Church of God Camp Ground went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Morris Community Hospital with her family by her side. She was born August 1, 1943 to Roy and Ivadell (Pletcher)Muffley at St Joseph's Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana. She married David J. Allen on November 10, 1962 in Bremen, Indiana. They were married for 49 ½ years.

Sandra graduated from Bremen Senior High School in 1961. She graduated from Vogue Beauty School in Mishawaka, Indiana and worked as a hairdresser for several years in Lapaz, Indiana. In her lifetime she worked at the former Ristance Corporation in Bremen, as a "Care Giver" for the elderly, and she also cleaned homes and businesses for several years. She retired from Burch Food Services in Warsaw, Indiana. While living in Indiana she attended the Church of God in Akron, Warsaw, and in Bremen. During the past four years she has attended Minooka Bible Church in Minooka, IL. She was an avid reader, enjoyed Tea immensely, and loved to garden and bake with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful Grandmother and created memories with her grandchildren that they will cherish forever and that will last a lifetime. She loved her family and especially enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events at Morris Community High School, and Shabbona Middle School. She was a "Prayer Warrior" for her children and grandchildren and lived her life for Christ. She was a kind and sweet woman who always had a smile on her face.

Sandra Allen is survived by a daughter, Terese (Timothy) Kukman of Morris, Illinois; a son, Timothy (Jamie) Allen of Warsaw, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brock, Allison, and Riley Kukman; a granddaughter Willow Allen, and two step-grandchildren, Wyatt and Wayne Klinger. She is also survived by two brothers; Steve (Sandy) Muffley of Bremen, and Sam (Diane) Muffley of Plymouth, Indiana

She was preceded in death by her husband David J. Allen, her parents Roy and Ivadell Muffley; and an infant son, Mark Allen.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Family friend and Minister Verdon Feldman will officiate.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
