Dean A. Long, 83, of Bremen passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Doctors Hospital in Bremen. He was born May 18, 1931 in South Bend, IN to Johnathan T. and Gertrude May Long. January 15, 1966 he married Marilyn Lorraine Thomas, and she survives.

Dean graduated from Mishawaka High School then went on to serve his country in the US Army. He retired from AM General after 30 years. Dean was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton, he was an Eagle Scout, Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed travelling.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Bremen, 2 daughters Lorraine (Roger) Nettles of Vancouver, WA and Brenda (Sandor) Voo of Valparaiso, IN, 2 grandchildren Brooke and Brennen Voo of Valparaiso. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorothy and 2 brothers Harold and Donald.

Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton. Reverend Arnold Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with Military Honors.

Friends may call 5-8pm Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
