Myrtle Laidig

Myrtle "Myrt" Mae Laidig, 85 of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Myrt was born in South Bend, IN on May 19, 1929. She graduated from Madison Twp. School. Myrt married Stanley E. Laidig on November 8, 1947; they were married 66 years. He preceded her in death in September of 2014.

Myrt was an excellent seamstress. She made curtains for many friends and family members as well as professionally. She also made wedding dresses for quite a few years. She was a caring, loving person with a good word for everyone. Myrt was active in 4-H growing up and continued helping as an adult.

Myrt is survived by her four children, daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Worley of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Laidig, of Independence, MO, and sons, Bruce (Karen) Laidig of Bremen and Jack (Diane) Laidig of Bremen; grandchildren, Tina (Jeremy) Rase, Liz (Jason) Burge, Brett Worley, Chene Worley, Brandon (Danielle) White, Sarah (Ben) Brady, and Lizzy White; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Bryona, Brooklin, Braden, Isabelle and Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mae Weade; brother, Keith Weade; and sister, Elvertia Barden.

There will be no viewing or service. There will be a private burial service at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Oak Grove Missionary Church (69009 Beech Road, Nappanee.)
