Donn J. Rethlake

Donn J. Rethlake, 78, of Bremen passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at home. He was born on March 27, 1936 in South Bend to Joseph and Gladys (Foeckler) Rethlake. Donn was a graduate of Lakeville High School and served in the US Air Force and as a US Marine Reserve. In February of 1958, he married Ginette L. Pirot. Donn was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Bremen.



Donn is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ginette; a son, Matthew (Sharon) Rethlake of Nappanee; four daughters, Dorothy Stone of South Bend, Christine (Carl) Lambert of Mosinee, WI, Mary (Gary) Clark of Walkerton, and Sherri (Bill) Cheser of Springfield, KY; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Norbert Rethlake of Mishawaka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Rethlake.

A funeral service with military honors will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Dominic's in Bremen. Father Bob Lengerich will officiate with burial following in the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3-8 PM on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. A rosary service will take place on Friday at the funeral home at 7 PM.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice or St. Dominic Catholic Church.
