Patricia Jellicoe

July 5, 1925 — June 30, 2014

Patricia Jellicoe, 88, of Bremen passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at home. She was born on July 5, 1925 in Mishawaka to Elmer and Gladys (Watters) Groff. Patricia graduated from Mishawaka High School and went on to earn her teaching degree from Purdue University. After graduating, she began her teaching career at Trinidad High School in Colorado, where she met Michael Jellicoe. They married on June 21, 1950 and began raising a family in New Mexico. Later, they returned to Patricia's home town of Mishawaka where she taught home economics at Mishawaka High School. Patricia was very active in the First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka. She also put her faith to work in the community as a 13 year volunteer for Meals on Wheels and St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka.

Patricia is survived by her four daughters, Judi Jellicoe of Plymouth, Lori Jellicoe of Bremen, Jayne (Denny) Westfall of LaPorte, and Lisa (Rick) Molden of Bremen; six grandchildren, Mark Barnett, Mike (Sara) Barnett, Lindsay Branshaw, Chelsea Branshaw, Katey Molden, and Emily Molden; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Carly Barnett; and a sister, Janan Kramer of Toledo, OH.

There will be no immediate services for Patricia. Her final wishes were to be laid to rest with her husband in his home state of New Mexico. At a later date, the family will hold a private service to honor Patricia.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be given to the Alzheimer's Association in Patricia's memory.
