David E. Schutz

David E. Schutz, 59, of Bremen passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. David was born to Lawrence and Joan (Wise) Schutz on April 21, 1954. David graduated with the Bremen High School class of 1972 and he married Melonee Buckner on October 12, 1974. David worked for Hop Cap and was currently employed with AM General. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, singing in the choir and serving on the Properties Committee. David was an avid mushroom hunter and enjoyed collecting 8 tracks and gardening.

David is survived by his wife Mel Schutz of Bremen; his parents, Lawrence and Joan Schutz of Bremen; two daughters, Marcie (Joe) Arndt of Bremen and April (Eric) Miller of Bremen; a son, Bart (Vanessa) Schutz of Newburgh; six grandchildren, Skylar Arndt, Shannon Arndt, Tori Orr, Hunter Miller, Carter Miller, and Nathan Schutz; and four brothers, Pat (Sharon) Schutz of Bremen, Tim (Kim) Schutz of Bremen, Keith (Sandy) Schutz of LaPaz, and Allen (Teresa) Schutz of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Tyler Schutz and Cody Arndt.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 6:30 PM. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate the service.

Friends may call from 3-6:30 PM on Tuesday at the church.
