Leroy Sheppard

Leroy Sheppard, 84, of Bremen, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Bremen Health Care Center. Leroy was born in Paragould, Arkansas to James and Grace (Nicely) Sheppard on May 25, 1929. He was married to Anna M. Carr on December 30, 1950. Leroy was employed with Liberty Homes and C &C Fiberglass. He was an avid hunter and fisher.  He enjoyed gardening, raising dogs and being with his family.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons, Rick Sheppard of Michigan and Brent (Susan) Sheppard of Granger; ten grandchildren, Nicole Sheppard, Jamie Sheppard, Jason Sheppard, Nick Sheppard, Tiffany Sheppard, Jeff Barnes, Mia Sheppard, Laci Sheppard, Breanne Ganshorn and Ashley Ganshorn; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Sheppard of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herbert Sheppard.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, Inc.
