Dorothy Heintzberger

Dorothy Heintzberger, 89, of Bremen passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth. She was born in Mishawaka to Stephen and Margaret (Kennedy) Gooley on March 7, 1924. Dorothy graduated from St. Joseph Academy and married Charles F. Heintzberger on February 16, 1946. Dorothy loved her family; she enjoyed caring for Charles, her children, and later, her grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles; four children, Thomas (Marcia) Heintzberger of Bremen, Patricia (Douglas) Wilson of Traverse City, MI, Michael Heintzberger of Bremen, and John (Marilee) Heintzberger of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Thera and Margaret; and a brother, Francis.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Father Bob Lengerich will officiate the service with burial following in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to Marshall County Cancer Society.
