Marilyn J. Forsythe

Marilyn J. Forsythe, 80, of Bremen, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on May 14, 1933 to Welcome and Bessie (Lemler) Bon Durant in Bremen. Marilyn married Arthur Forsythe on November 11, 1950; he passed in July of 1995.

When Marilyn's great-granddaughter was asked to describe her great-grandmother, the response was quick; "She's perfect." Marilyn's family will always remember her as the perfect mother and grandmother. Marilyn was active in 4-H, girl scouts, and cub scouts. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Bremen Church of the Brethren.

Marilyn is survived by her three children, Jeanne Forsythe, Penny Ferguson, and Steven Forsythe, all of Bremen; seven grandchildren, Kris (Rich) Vandiver, Jeff (Jessica) Ferguson, Arthur Forsythe, Jason Ferguson, Sarah Forsythe, Jon (Lorin) Ferguson and Mandy (Kevin) Denny; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3-7 PM at the funeral home on Thursday, February 6, 2014.
