Dorothy A. Ward

Dorothy Ann Ward, 72 of Bremen, Indiana passed away at 11:55 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Bremen Healthcare Center after a short illness. She was born on March 1, 1941 in Armada, Michigan to Morris and Hazel Demotte.

She graduated from Armada High School in 1959. On June 18, 1960 in Lapeer, Michigan she married John Willard Ward. Dorothy, John and family moved from Adrian, Michigan to Bremen, Indiana in 1971. Dorothy had worked at Almega Wire several years before her retirement.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Mike (Christine) Ward, Bremen and Paul (Beth) Ward of Lakeville, a sister Marge Thibeault of Holly, Michigan. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, described by many that knew her as a "sweet lady" and will be greatly missed by those whose life she touched.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 9 to 11 AM in the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, Indiana.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the funeral home, with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating. Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen, Indiana.
