Mildred M Davis

Mildred M. Davis, 96, of Bremen passed away, Friday, January 3, 2014 at Community Hospital of Bremen. She was born August 22, 1917 in Plymouth to Jacob O. and Core E. (Huff) Yockey. Mildred married Ernest W. Davis on September 14, 1940; he preceded her in death in June of 1989.

Born and raised in Marshall County, Mildred was a 1935 graduate of Bremen High School. She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all her loved ones. She enjoyed singing with her family; doing word puzzles and playing skip bo. She was a devoted Christian who loved to read the Bible and faithfully attended Riverside United Methodist Church.

Mildred is survived by three children, Karen Baker of Bremen, Marilyn (Larry) Lacher of Plymouth, Lanetia (Jerry) Christner of Warsaw, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, three brothers and three sisters.

A Celebration of Mildred's life will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
