Eldon J. Sorensen

Eldon J. Sorensen, 83 of Milford passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare. He was born on January 10, 1930 in Milford to Emil and Edna (Wheeler) Sorensen. He married Nola Morehouse; she preceded him in death on April 20, 2004.

Eldon was a lifetime area resident who worked many years for Phend and Brown and delivered the South Bend Tribune to local readers for over 25 years. He worked hard and enjoyed watching NCAA basketball and was a member of the Milford Christian Church.

He is survived by four children, Devon (wife Mary) Sorensen of Three Rivers, MI, Mark (wife Lorinda) Sorensen of Lafayette, Craig (wife Patty) Sorensen of Huston. TX, Jeffery "Squeak" Sorensen of Milford, seven grandchildren, Brandi, Nathan, Adam, Tyler, Amy, Stacy, Haley and one great granddaughter, Megan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nola and three brothers, Elmer, Dale and Ray.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Milford Christian Church with Pastor Stephen Leininger officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday December 13 at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Milford Christian Church.
