M. Pearl Avalos, 87, of Milford passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Avalon Village in Ligonier. She was born September 16, 1926 in Saint Joe, AR to Charlie and Maudie (Bagley) Baker.
Pearl has been an area resident since 1952 and attended the Milford United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was missionary for the Spanish for 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, being outside, sewing and spending time with family. She was a good listener and was always there for them. She will be dearly missed.
Pearl is survived by five children, Peggy Glant of Leesburg, Georgia (Steve) Finton of Ft Wayne, Mary (Cletus) England of Milford, Rex Westerman of Marion and Sandy (Buddy) Greer of Milford, 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; a brother Merl Baker of Kansas and a sister Mary Peyton of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Ricky Westerman, three brothers and three grandchildren.
Burial with graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 21, 2013 at Concord Cemetery next to Grace Church on Rookstool Road in Syracuse; Pastor Floyd Farber will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of Mishler Funeral Home.
