Terry Haab, 73, of Dewart Lake and Bonita Springs, Florida passed away on September 13, 2013 at Elkhart General Hospital from complications during a routine surgical procedure.
Terry was born on September 22, 1939 in Warsaw, Indiana to George and Pearl Haab, Both of whom have preceded him in death. On December 17, 1961 he married Lorelei Foyle, who survives him, in Worth, Illinois after which they lived in Orland Park, Illinois where they enjoyed raising their two daughters until 1980 when they moved to Dewart Lake. Their daughters, Robin (Tim) Stiffler and Debbie (Dave) Strombeck still live with their husbands in the area.
Terry was a man that enjoyed helping those around him ? whether he was helping someone roof their house, fix their plumbing, or where he seemed to be most at home, digging with his backhoe. It did not matter; he was always helping and always had a smile on his face.
In 2003, Terry retired from a long career that included farming, well drilling, building, plumbing, and backhoe work. During his retirement, he enjoyed vacationing in Florida where he spent many hours fishing.
Terry was not only a loving husband and father, but also an amazing grandfather to his two grandkids, Renee Stiffler Case and Mikey Stiffler.
Visitation for Terry will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 1-4 PM at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with the funeral service to follow at 4 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice or the donor's choice in care of Mishler Funeral Home.
