Jerry L. Berg

Jerry L. Berg passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at St Joseph Regional Medical Center at the age of 66. Jerry was born, grew up, and lived his life in Bremen, Indiana. He served in the US Army from 1968 -1970, much of that time as an artillery sergeant in the Republic of Korea. Since separating from the service, the VFW remained an important part of his life. Jerry delivered mail in Bremen for over 20 years but also worked as an insurance salesman and part time at Mishler Funeral Home. He donated a great deal of his time back to his home town serving on the school board, coaching baseball and basketball and running the scoreboard for home high school sports. Jerry was brilliant with people and will be missed by many. He will be missed most of all by his wife Linn and sons David (Tatjana) and A.J. (Stephanie), grandchildren Tessa, Marko, and Aleks, and sister Jan (Don) Frazier. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents John and Doris Berg.

A funeral service with military honors will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen. Pastor Roger Rohde will officiate the service.

Friends may call from 2-6 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
