Frank Nemeth

Frank Nemeth, 85 of Bremen passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Elkhart. He was born in South Bend to John and Rose (Varga) Nemeth on July 9, 1928. Frank married Doris Elaine (Badman) on June 25, 1955.

Frank was a Veteran of the United States Marines Corps and served two years in Korea, receiving two purple hearts. He retired from Wheelhorse after 20 years and moved to Arizona where he worked for The Price Club. Frank was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in South Bend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding the birds and squirrels, refinishing furniture and was especially known for his garden.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris of Bremen, a daughter, Debbra (Rod) Herman of Bremen, two grandsons, Todd (companion Denae) Herman of Seattle, Kerry Lee (companion Marianne) Herman of Bremen, two great grandchildren, Kerry Andrew and Kyle Herman. Also surviving is a sister in law Martha Stine of Arizona and several nieces and nephews, and long time fishing and hunting buddy, Bill Mize.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bremen Cemetery; Mother Teunisje "Tina" Velthuizen will officiate the service. The Bremen VFW will provide military honors immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
