Charles Gigous, 40, of Leesburg went on to lands of God's eternal Summer Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He was a loyal and loving son born to Alan and Linda (Lemler) Gigious on April 26, 1973.
He married his one and only true love, Sherry Lynn Foster Gigous on December 17, 1994. Together they were blessed by the births of their four children, Augustus, Adora, Mahalabelle and Idyllwylde, who all live at home in Leesburg. He also leaves behind his parents, Alan and Linda Gigous of Leesburg and a brother Ezra Gigous of Oswego, two sisters, Lurena (companion Jason) Kerlin of Pierceton, Debra (husband Eric) of Warsaw a beloved nephew, Kane Bradley of Pierceton and a niece Maria Kovach of Warsaw.
Charles graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1993. He worked at R.R. Donnelly and Sons from 1993-1996, Indiana Coated Fabrics from 2003-2004, Fabwell from 2004-2006, Nisco, Bremen Plant from 2006-2009 and Clunette Elevator, Inc., from March of 2010 to present.
He was a hard worker who wanted nothing more in life than to love and take care of his family. Charles was a generous and gentle soul, he was kind to animals and small children adored him. He was especially proud of his own children, whom he loved to no end and was so proud of their accomplishments and generous spirit. He also loved tractors, classic and fast cars. He celebrated a most wonderful fortieth birthday this past April with his family at the Kosciusko County Fair Grounds race track.
A celebration of his life with prayers and hymn singing will be held at his home Church, Clunette United Methodist, at a later date.
To Charles, life was a celebration. It was always his wish that when his time came, that family and friends would wait for a good day and have a picnic at the Chinworth Bridge and it should be "a pig in the ground and beer on ice." Plans are pending.
