Allen H. Leismer

Allen H. Leismer, 88, of Milford passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Bremen Health Care Center. Allen was born to Ralph and Doris Leismer in Flint, Michigan on December 15, 1924. On April 7, 1947 he married Norma Brown.

After graduating with the class of 1943 from Petoskey High School in Petoskey, Michigan, Allen honorably served his country in the Air Force during World War II. He retired from Montgomery Ward Corporate Office in Chicago, Illinois, where he was employed for over 37 years. Allen could often be found wood working or solving a crossword puzzle. He also enjoyed camping and singing in the church choir; he attended the Living Gospel Church in Nappanee.

Allen is survived by his wife, Norma Leismer of Milford; two sons, David (Joann) Leismer of Kouts and Dan (Dennise) Leismer of Milford; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diana Thomas; and two brothers.

All services will be private.
