Margie Chupp

Margie E. Chupp, 88, of Milford passed away on July 26, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born on March 15, 1925 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Frank and Ellen (Stevens) Nichols. She married Carl Chupp on August 28, 1943; he survives.

Margie moved to Indiana in 1948 after living in Arkansas. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Clunette United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and writing letters.

Margie is survived by one daughter, Bernice Ellen (Don) Smith of Warsaw; two grandchildren, Richard Allan (Carrie) Miller of Noblesville, Tina (Matt) Layman of Akron; two step grandchildren, Megan Layman and Matthew Lahn; two sisters, Mildred Blair of Wichita, Kansas, and Luella (Louis) Meredith of Kensett, Arkansas.

Margie's family would like to thank Hospice Care and Miller's Merry Manor for the special care they gave Margie.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 31 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Milford. Pastor Mike Beezley will officiate the service with burial immediately following in the Leesburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, July 30.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice Care of Elkhart County or Clunette Methodist Church.
