Wayne R. Hummel

Wayne R. Hummel, 66, formerly of Bremen, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was born July 4, 1947 to Lloyd and Bertha (Geil) Hummel in Plymouth.

Wayne graduated with the class of 1965 from Bremen High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Susan Keb in Argos on May 15, 1976. Wayne held the office of Lakeville Town Marshall until he retired. He was a member of the Plymouth Baptist Church.

Wayne is survived by his wife Susan Hummel of Linden, VA; one daughter, Penny (Gene) Cooper of Peru; three sons, George Hummel of Gainsville, VA, Roger Hummel and Michael (Ami) Hummel, both of Anderson; five grandchildren, Myron Thompson, Tera Schumacher, Mykel Hummel, Matthew Hummel, and Abi Jacob; one great-grandchild, Evan James Schumacher; a sister, Charlene (Tom) Guyse of Bremen; and his four-legged best friends, Abby, Beethoven, and Rosco.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at Mishler Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1 PM. Reverend Clark Harless will officiate with burial following in the Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
