Almeda "Jo" Josephine Edwards

Almeda "Jo" Josephine Hendrix Edwards, 92 of Bremen passed away on Monday June 3, 2013 at her daughters' home, in Hospice Care.

She was born at home on December 9th, 1920 in Ashland, Nebraska, the daughter of Daniel and Ethel Clouse Hendrix. Her siblings Gladys, Grace, Norma, Frances, Lotus, Virginia, and Daniel all preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a son Mark Hunter, and 4 son-in-laws.

She married Andrew "Jack" Edwards and together their family was Bobbette (Lou) Portman, Patty Lekon, Peggy (Don) Bartko, Jacqueline Hehr, Vivian Hart, Delma (Darwin) Yoder, Carolyn (Jack) Bennitt, Donna (Craig) Loney, Andrea Koontz, John Hunter, William Hunter and Helena (Franco) Russo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000.

She was also blessed with 37 Grandchildren, 60 Great Grandchildren and 40 Great Great Grandchildren; they were her life and love.

She was known as Mom Edwards or Grandma Jo to many others. She was the best cook, and many have enjoyed the fruit of her labor, in pies, cakes, and her famous sticky buns. She was a member of Bremen Missionary Church.

Services to celebrate her life will be: Viewing and Memorial Service on Friday, June 7th at Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Rd. Bremen, IN. Viewing 4 p.m. ? 6 p.m., immediately followed by a Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to an organization of the donor's choice.
