Joyce Main

Joyce Main, 88, of Bremen, IN, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013, in her residence.Joyce was born on January 2, 1925, in Leesburg, IN to Ralph and Goldie (Rousey) Sanderson. She was a graduate of Leesburg High School.

Joyce married Harold "Hug" Main on July 7, 1951, and resided in Bremen for sixty years.

For a few years, Joyce was well known as the voice of United Telephone Phone Company (Sprint). She retired as an office manager in 1987 with 30 years of service. Joyce also attended Grace Fellowship Church. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them life lessons and skills like knitting, crocheting, tatting, patience, and persistence. Her willingness to support and encourage was a testament of her loving spirit and passion for impacting future generations.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Jeff (Nancy) Main, Connersville, IN and Gary (Carolyn) Main, Morton, IL, a daughter-in-law, Mary Main, Bremen, IN, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers (John, Ralph, and Lawrence), a son, Hal Main, and a great-granddaughter Alegria Pool.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Grace Fellowship Church, 535 South Birkey Street, Bremen, IN with Pastor Jon Hueni officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 12pm to 1:30pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at the Bremen Cemetery.
