Marie E. Redman, 90, of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2013.
Marie was born on August 29, 1922 to Frank and Anna Aker in German Township in the same house her father was born. Marie went to a two room school house called Sunnyside till the 8th grade. She then attended Lapaz Schools, and later graduated from Bremen Public Schools in 1940. She married Lewis Dean Redman at her family home on March 29, 1941. Marie enjoyed her role as a farmer's wife and working for Berger Farm and Welding. She also was a tour guide for Amish Acres, and was proud of the Round Barn Theater, which her family previously owned. Marie was an active member of Shiloh Wesleyan Church her entire life. She was a charter member of the Lakeview Home Ec Club and was a member of the Bremen Senior Singers. Marie could often be found enjoying coffee with friends or mowing her yard.
Marie is survived by a daughter, Janice Eder of Florida ; a son, Dennis (Judy) Redman of Bremen; and a daughter, Teresa (Dennis) Ott of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Becca, Michelle, Preston, and Addison; three great-grandchildren, Gage, Guy, and Carson; and a sister, Arlene (Bob) Birkey of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Dean Redman; two brothers, Frank Jr. and Rolland; and two infant brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Shiloh Wesleyan Church ? King Road, Plymouth with Pastor John Perkinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Thurday, March 7th at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shiloh Wesleyan Church.
