Casimir Chrzan, 81, of Bremen, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at his home. He was born to Casimir and Clara Chrzan on December 1, 1931 in South Bend. On February 3, 1984 Casimir married JoAnn Shaw; she survives.
Casimir worked for Uniroyal for 37 ½ years and filling many positions over the years. He enjoyed woodworking, building bird houses, fishing, traveling, and just tinkering in general. Casimir also enjoyed his winters in Florida and loved spending time with his family.
Casimir is survived by his wife, JoAnn Chrzan, of Bremen; a son, Gary Chrzan of Bremen; a daughter, Cheryl Chrzan of Bremen; two stepsons, Robert (Kathy) Suchovsky and Scott (Judy) Suchovsky both of Mishawaka; two daughter-in-laws, Judy Chrzan of South Bend and Nancy Chrzan of Bremen; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Larry Chrzan and Jerry Chrzan; a granddaughter, Heather Mangun; and four brothers, Ray Chrzan, Ervin Chrzan, Daniel Chrzan, and Chet Chrzan.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
Friends may call from 11-2 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Center for Hospice Care.
