Ardith Marie Chupp

Ardith Marie Chupp, 90, of Milford passed away on January 11, 2013 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was born on August 29, 1922 in Leonard, Missouri to Uriah and Florence (Zimmerman) Johnston. She married Edward Chupp on November 29, 1961; he preceded her in death on December 13, 2008.

Ardith moved to Indiana in the 1950's after living in Colorado. She worked for Blue Bell in Nappanee for many years before retiring as manager. She was a member of the North Main Mennonite Church of Nappanee where she and Edward were Sunday school teachers. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing the piano and organ and reading.

Ardith is survived by four brothers, Alvin Johnston Hesston, KS. Orvis Johnston, Leonard, MO., Dean Johnston, Leonard, MO., and Ronald Johnston, Mexico, MO. Three sisters; Esther Zehr, Winston, OR., Dorothy Campagna, Apison, TN., Donna Smoker, Phoenix, AZ.

Ardith was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 16 at the North Main Mennonite Church in Nappanee. Pastor Ruben Chupp will officiate the service with burial immediately following in the Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
