Marguerite Felten

Marguerite Louise Felten, 99, died at the Bremen Health Care Center on Monday, November 19, 2012. She was born near Bremen on June 16, 1913 to Delbert and Nettie Snyder, and she grew up on a farm east of Bremen on land that is now the Pla-Mor Campground.

On September 2, 1934, she married Wilford "Bugs" Felten. He died June 6, 1949. She was a lifelong member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen. She had worked at Bremen Bearings and Meister Drugs (the Ben Franklin store) and was a volunteer at Bremen Health Care Center.

Survivors include sons Loren Felten of Chatsworth, California, Donald (Kathy) Felten of Green Cove Springs, Florida, and Paul (Becki) Felten of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Grandchildren are Brian Felten, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Amy (Shane) Sherwood, Palmetto, Florida; Chris (Colette) Felten, Encino, California; Debra (Brian) Walsh, Hillsboro, Oregon; Ellen (Garland) Lane, Simpsonville, South Carolina; Elliott (Yesenia)Felten, Granada Hills, California; Nancy Felten, Hillsboro, Oregon; and Wendy (Kevin) Cecil, Orlando, Florida. She has five great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, and one great-great-grandson. Also surviving are two step-granddaughters, Alexia (Russell) Farrell of Northridge, California, and Pamela (Perry) Barlow of Agua Dulce, California; and two step-grandsons, John (Karla) Berridge of Middleburg, Florida, and Jeffrey Berridge of Indianapolis, Indiana. Preceding her in death were brothers George, Henry, and Richard Snyder, daughter-in-law Gretchen Felten, and great-granddaughter Emilie Cecil.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 PM on November 21, 201 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 23rd at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Neil Wonnacott.

Preferred memorials are to her church, St Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen.
