Dorothy Virginia Mummy-Berkey Farrer

Dorothy Virginia Mummy ? Berkey Farrer, 86 of Bremen passed away at 4:30 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Community Hospital of Bremen.

She was born on February 28, 1926 in Peru, Indiana to Lillian M. (Lusk) and William Mummy.

Dorothy married William "Bud" Berkey on January 15, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1972, and on November 5, 1983 she married Tom Farrer, he preceded her in death on December 7, 2011.

Dorothy was formerly employed at United Foam of Bremen, and retired from Ristance Wire of Bremen.

She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, performing in the church choir. Dorothy was also a member of the Eastern Star, Tri Kappa, Ladies Card Club and the Bremen VFW Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic sports fans.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Fred) Fuchs, Bremen, a son, Charles "Chuck" Berkey, Bremen, Indiana. She is survived by a step son, Jack Farrer, Bremen, and a step daughter, Sally Smith, also of Bremen.

She is also survived by a brother, William "Bill" Mummy, Washington, and a sister, Barbara (Rulo) Siefer, Bremen. Also surviving Dorothy's passing is numerous step grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a son, Richard A. Berkey, and a brother, McClennan "Mack" Mummy.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 for 1 to 4 pm in the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, Indiana.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November, 21, 2012 in the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, Indiana.

Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery.
